A duck family stopped traffic Frederiksberg in 1959 in the middle of rush hour. A policeman stopped all traffic, so the ducks could cross the road in safety. Coincidentally, there was a journalist who captured the moment. The story and the picture of ducks and policeman spread across the country, not least Hans Bølling, was captivated by this story, thus creating his Duck family.
